On the current problems and tasks for the future

Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, members of the “Obnovlenie” faction in the legislature, deputies of local councils participated in the VII congress of the Republican Party “Obnovlenie”. Among the invited guests there are veterans of war and labor, representatives of various non-governmental organizations (BKA, "Chernobyl" society, the Public Chamber, Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie), managers of industrial enterprises.

As in times of creation of the party in 2006, and now the priority is "union and the consolidation of society". Today, it is a powerful social and political force, which included 3,786 people (in last two years it was replenished by 86 members), combined in 8 regional and 67 primary organizations. Among the program objectives of the “Obnovlenie” there is formation of a civil society in which human rights are the highest value and are protected; economic reforms serve to increase the level and quality of people's lives and activities of public authorities based on the law. The ultimate aim is the international recognition of the republic, the development of strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation, the preservation of peace and stability.

The head of the Pridnestrovian community in Moscow, the guest from Russia, authorized representative of President Vladimir Putin, Colonel-General Nikolai Serdtsev opened the forum. Former speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament, known and respected social activist Grigory Maracutsa and leader of the party "Fair Russia" Sergei Mironov sent from Moscow welcome addresses to participants of the forum.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla spoke in front of the delegates. He spoke of the current difficulties due to external constraints faced by Pridnestrovie, the republic, Governmental Entity of topical problems of economy and social sphere of the crisis, activation of inter-parliamentary dialogue. The aim, according to him, remains the same - to promote the development of the country, creating a complete socio-political system.

Speaking on the upcoming elections in November, the Chairman of the Supreme Council urged the participants to maximize the correct conduct of the election campaign.

Mikhail Burla and answered a number of questions received from the audience. Certainly all of them were interested in the topic of non-payment of pensions and salaries of state employees not in full. Recently, the issue worsening social situation of citizens rises at every deputy's admission, the plenary session of the Presidium. Parliamentarians cannot remain indifferent in this decision. On behalf of deputies the Speaker assured that different solutions to this complex social problem will be developed.

The head of the “Obnovlenie” faction Peter Pasat told about the legislative activities of the faction. During two last years the “Obnovlenie” members initiated, and the deputies adopted more than 200 laws aimed at the socio-economic situation improving, the growth of GDP, investment attractiveness.

Vice Speaker of the Parliament, head of the Supreme Council of the Committee on Agriculture Efimy Koval sees the potential for growth of Pridnestrovian Economy in the development of the agricultural sector, the adoption of the state program of support for the agricultural complex. He supposes that the priorities in this direction should be the saturation of the domestic market with own products, livestock development and reclamation, as well as the social sphere of the village.
