The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov took part in a video conference of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky and the public and administrative authorities.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the nationwide cleanup day that took place on November 11. The main emphasis was on greening the cities and regions of the republic. It was noted that the weather made its own adjustments, but the planting of trees and shrubs, landscaping and cleaning of urban and rural areas took place despite the rain, reports the website of the PMR President.
The head of the capital Oleg Dovgopol reported to the President that more than a thousand people from various organizations of the city took part in the volunteer Saturday work. 460 different seedlings were planted in the arboretum, squares and parks of Tiraspol on this day. The planned planting of roses has been postponed to this week; it is planned to involve the capital's gardeners of the Spetszelenstroy enterprise in this work. Oleg Dovgopol said that preparations for the New Year holidays have already begun in Catherine Park. This year there will be many innovations. The main Christmas tree of the country will be installed from the side of the arch, and the very appearance of the green beauty will change.
1.5 thousand rose bushes were planted, and 2.7 thousand bushes were prepared for planting in the course of the volunteer Saturday work in Bendery. 230 tree seedlings and 290 hibiscus bushes were rooted in addition. The head of Bendery Roman Ivanchenko said that landscaping work continues on the embankment and the renovated Sovetskaya Street in addition to the volunteer Saturday work. The parks that are currently being improved in the city districts of Khomutyanovka and Lipkany will be landscaped next year.
More than one and a half thousand trees and 5 thousand rose bushes were planted during the volunteer Saturday work in Slobodzeya. More than a thousand people came out for volunteer Saturday work in Grigoriopol district, 680 trees and more than 260 bushes were planted (previously, 3 thousand rose bushes were planted in the region). Almost 4 thousand trees and shrubs were planted in Dubossary district – 20 different plants. More than 4 thousand people took part in volunteer Saturday work in Rybnitsa district; there were planted 1885 tree seedlings, various shrubs and bushes of roses totally. The main work took place in embankment and park named after Kirov of the town. The planting of greenery took place in advance in Kamenka district. 250 rose bushes and 400 seedlings of various trees were planted in the course of volunteer Saturday work.
The PMR President thanked the heads of state administrations and citizens of the republic for participating in the nationwide cleanup day.
