On the development of tourism and entrepreneurship in Pridnestrovie

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic today approved reports on the implementation of state target programs in the field of tourism and entrepreneurship in 2024.

State target program "Support and development of tourism in the PMR for 2019-2026"

As part of the state program for the development of tourism, 8 events were implemented last year to promote and develop tourism in Pridnestrovie. The booklets "Discover Pridnestrovie", "Rural Tourism", the booklet "Bike routes in Pridnestrovie" (in Russian and English), various presentation materials and branded products were developed and produced. Tourist maps of Pridnestrovie, Tiraspol and Bendery were developed and published in Russian and English. Six information signs were installed indicating the extreme geographical points of the republic, the highest point and the geographical center of Pridnestrovie, as well as 62 signs of the main tourist attractions and routes in the regions of the republic. An advertising campaign was carried out to promote the tourist product in foreign magazines and the portal "Discover Pridnestrovie" (in 2024, the site traffic statistics for 2024 are 281.3 thousand views, 133.9 thousand visits). Tourist products of Pridnestrovie were presented at the 27th International Specialized Exhibition "Tourism & Travel Expo" in Chisinau. It is noted that about 12.5 thousand people entered Pridnestrovie for tourism purposes last year (this is almost 2 times more than in 2023). Pridnestrovians have shown increased interest in domestic tourism. 1408 people took advantage of offers from travel agencies and tour guides, receiving cashback in the amount of 639.3 thousand rubles, having paid for 47 excursions and 34 tours for 1 million 435.5 thousand rubles in 2024. The total amount of funding for the state tourism program in 2024 was about 900 thousand rubles.

State target program "Support and development of entrepreneurship in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2023-2027"

The actual amount of funds spent on financing the state program for the development of entrepreneurial activity in 2024 was 1 million 488.8 thousand rubles. They were spent on the implementation of the projects "Functioning of the business school" and "Buy Pridnestrovian".

50 aspiring entrepreneurs and 52 schoolchildren learned the basics of starting a business and the basics of entrepreneurial activity, hundreds of managers of organizations and business enterprises underwent advanced training in the business school. 8 exhibitions and fairs, the festival "I am an entrepreneur" and the festival "Wines and grapes", as well as seminars, tastings and round tables were held for Pridnestrovians and guests of the republic, advertising audio and video clips were created within the framework of the "Buy Pridnestrovian!" project. However, there were no applications from aspiring entrepreneurs for support under the project "My Business" in 2024, so the money allocated for it was redistributed to other items of the state program.
