The problems of the healthcare sphere were discussed today in the House of official receptions. The meeting between President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the chief doctors of the republic was held there. Among the participants of the meeting there were Sergei Cheban, chairman of the Committee for Social Policy, Health, Labor, Family and Childhood Issues, his colleagues, parliamentarians Igor Buga, Vladimir Pelin, head of the Republican Clinical Hospital. Representatives of public organizations took an active part in the dialogue.
The head of the ministry listed the main problems existing in the healthcare sphere. Lack of funding, deterioration of infrastructure, personnel shortage is among them. The most acute problem is the lack of due attention and sympathy of the majority of medical workers in relation to patients. Their incorrect behavior - in almost every complaint sent to the profile ministry.
Many complaints about the work of the industry come to the Presidential Administration. Last year, there were 286. The essence of almost every one of them is the following: rough treatment of patients, lack of compassion for the sick. In support of the existing problem, the head of state cited several applications from citizens who had addressed him several days before the meeting.
The head of state gave a number of instructions to help solve this problem. The President instructed to forward all complaints to medical personnel to the Investigative Committee. In addition, the head of state supposes that it is necessary to strengthen the interaction of this ministry and the public. The Public Council will be established under the Ministry of Health, which will meet monthly to discuss the situation in the industry. The President is sure that it is necessary to strengthen the work related to informing citizens. For this purpose, the helpline should work. The leadership of the medical faculty of the State University is instructed to pay attention to the teaching of disciplines related to medical ethics and deontology.
Representatives of the public were able to ask their questions to the leadership of the ministry. They were interested in the possibility of treatment of Pridnestrovians in Russia, the restoration of the work of FAPs in the villages of the republic, as well as the installation of ramps in medical institutions. They also talked about training specialists capable of conducting complex operations in Pridnestrovie. In general, the dialogue about the development of the healthcare system was frank and emotional, lasting more than two hours.
