About the Road Fund expenditure

Deputy corps discussed amendments to the law "On the Road Fund of Pridnestrovie" within the second reading. In particular, the parliamentarians drew attention to the amendment concerning the procedure for spending targeted funds on the ground. The profile committee on agro-industrial complex issues offered to grant the right to local authorities independently to determine, within 40% of the grants allocated from the Republican Road Fund, what it is more worth spending for repair of intraquarter roads or street lighting. Until now, the financing of expenditures has been clearly regulated: no more than 30% - for street lighting, no more than 10% - for repair of intraquarter and yard passages.

Deputy Oleg Vasilaty during the discussion of the amendment expressed the opinion that the funds of the Road Fund, first of all, should be spent on repairing public roads.

The deputy corps supported by majority vote the amendment of the profile committee. The new norm will be effective from January 1 of the next year. The law-in-draft, taking into account introduced amendments, was adopted in the final reading.
