The list of issues to be discussed in June is the amendment of the constitutional law "On PMR citizenship" aimed at simplifying the procedure for acquiring the citizenship of the republic. The authors of the law-in-draft are Deputies Galina Antyufeeva, Vitaly Kalin, Oleg Petrik and Gregory Dyachenko.
The legislators at the next plenary meeting will consider and adopt the draft resolution of the Supreme Council "On the Recognition of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the December 13, 2006 Framework Law on the Territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" in final reading. As it was noted in the explanatory note to the document, the purpose of this law-in-draft is "to draw attention of citizens and the state to the problems of persons with disabilities, to ensure their successful integration into society in the context of creating an accessible environment".
Deputies have to decide on the law-in-draft, introducing amendments to the Penal Enforcement Code. Deputies Galina Antyufeeva and Ilona Tyuryaeva suggest revising the conditions for their maintenance, in particular, to increase the amount of money that they have the right to spend on a monthly basis for the purchase of food and necessities for the social adaptation of convicts serving sentences in correctional colonies of the general regime, colonies-settlements and educational colonies.
The law-in-draft was submitted for discussion in the first reading mode, submitted as a legislative initiative by a group of deputies. It is aimed at liberalizing criminal responsibility for economic crimes. In particular, it was proposed to expand the list of offenses for which the perpetrators may be exempted from criminal liability in case of compensation for the caused damage.
