Increase of the number of road accidents raises questions about the effectiveness of the rules of administrative law. April 28 this year the new version of the Code of Administrative Offences was introduced containing new compositions and multiple increase of the size of penalties for their commission. The President proposed initiative aimed at improving the existing Code regarding the strengthening of administrative responsibility. The Supreme Council rejected the law-in-draft with proposal to change its concept. The document revised penalties for violation of traffic rules. It was presented for consideration of parliament in the final form at today's plenary session.
Members of parliamentary committee considered the amendments proposed by President to increase the fines incommensurable with the level of economic well-being of Pridnestrovians.
After an hour of discussion, the majority of parliamentarians from the three presented bills voted to take the Bill chapters relevant committee Galina Antyufeeva. It was adopted in the first reading. As noted by the legislator, for the second reading it will be finalized taking into account comments and suggestions voiced.
