On the new in legislation

30.10.2018

The President endorsed several legislative acts adopted by the deputy corps during the October plenary sessions. In particular, the law “On the passport of a citizen of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was amended. In accordance with it, the passport of a citizen of the USSR is still recognized as valid and indefinite on the territory of the republic. At the same time, a Soviet document should contain an indication of belonging to the citizenship of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (presence of a mark, an insert, etc.). In this case, a Soviet passport is not subject to seizure, damage or destruction. If a citizen, when receiving the PMR passport, expressed a desire to keep the Soviet document, this should not be denied. In this case, the action of the passport of a citizen of the USSR is annulled by affixing an imprint of the stamp “Canceled” on the first page of the document.

After the President signed the amendment to the law “On the Protection of Citizens' Reproductive Health and Family Planning”, the rule came into force, according to which “artificial termination of pregnancy for women under the age of 18 is made after notifying their parents or other legal representatives, except when acquires full legal capacity up to the age of 18 in accordance with the current legislation of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”. By this is meant the cases when a woman gets married.

Earlier, the deputy corps adopted and the President signed the law, according to which the age limit was increased from 15 to 18 years, at which interruption of unwanted pregnancy in adolescents is possible, provided that parents or legal representatives are required to inform.
