Prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation and the practical results were discussed in the course of themeeting of the deputy of the Supreme Council Vadim Krasnoselsky with a member of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev. The Russian politician said that monitoring the situation in Pridnestrovie, he considers it is important to establish effective cooperation between the two parliaments.

Parliamentarians discussed the upcoming presidential elections. Russian senator supposes that it is important to insist on unconditional compliance with the existing legislation so that elections were held in accordance with the electoral legislation and in no way to avoid any administrative or any other illegal pressure. The Supreme Council deputy Vadim Krasnoselsky invited Russian senators to take part in the elections of the President of PMR as international observers. The official invitation will be sent to Moscow in the near future.

During a meeting with Konstantin Kosachev another important issue that worries many Pridnestrovians was also raised - obtaining Russian citizenship to those born after 1992. This urgent problem is controlled by Pridnestrovian parliamentarians and Russia, there is a legal study of the mechanism of implementation of the simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship and its integration into the Russian legal framework.

Among the issues discussed by parliamentarians there is situation around the Russian peacekeeping contingent. Vadim Krasnoselsky and Konstantin Kosachev emphasized the high importance of the continuation of the peacekeeping operation on the banks of the Dniester River in its current format to full political settlement.
