At the end of the plenary session, the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba gave an interview to the journalists of the "France 24" TV channel. The conversation with the speaker began in the hall of plenary sessions, continued at the monument to Vladimir Lenin and then at the office. Journalists were interested in the attitude of the head of the parliament to Soviet symbols, and asked about the Pridnestrovian one. Alexander Shcherba spoke about how the memory of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Pridnestrovie is honored in the republic. Guests were also interested in the party system of the republic, which parties are represented in the legislature.

The speaker during the conversation spoke about the history of the region, the prerequisites for the formation of the republic, an armed conflict that took hundreds of lives, and the construction of state institutions.

Alexander Shcherba noted the special role of Russia as a guarantor country in the life of the republic. According to him, the peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation for a quarter of a century provide peace and security on the banks of the Dniester. Answering the question about how he sees the solution of the conflict between Moldova and Pridnestrovie, the speaker noted: the settlement is possible only by peaceful means, taking into account the will of the Pridnestrovian people.
