Zero rate on the import of meters

Parliamentarians adopted in the first reading the law-in-draft introduced when Vadim Krasnoselsky was a deputy. They supported his proposal to zero the rate of customs duties on the import of meters for the consumption of natural gas, water, electricity. Corresponding changes are planned to be made to the law "On Customs Rate". While the customs tariff for the import of metering devices is 5% of their customs value.

As part of the consideration of the legislative initiative both at the meeting of the responsible committee for state regional policy and during the plenary session, the deputies noted the timeliness of this measure. They suppose that this will create conditions for consumers to install meters, in particular water meters.
