New in the Law

The President signed laws that the deputies of the Supreme Council adopted earlier this month.

Among the laws that entered into force after the signing by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, amending certain provisions of the Law on Employment. New legal provisions tighten the procedure for deregistration of unemployed in employment centers. From now on, citizens with education and qualifications and receiving unemployment benefits will be subject to deregistration in employment centers in the event of rejection of two job offers. Those who are looking for work without education and qualifications and can work as a laborer should be deregistered if one offer is rejected to take a job vacancy. The same procedure applies to two recommendations for unemployed people to undergo vocational training or retraining.

Along with these amendments to the Law “On Employment”, payments to citizens dismissed in connection with the liquidation of the organization or with a reduction in the number of staff, as well as in connection with a change in ownership, have been increased. The new law also provides for the possibility of providing material assistance to the unemployed. The unemployed, dependent members of their families, as well as citizens during the period of vocational training, retraining, advanced training in the direction of the Unified State Social Insurance Fund in cases of the need for treatment (surgery), death of close relatives, have the right to apply for it, restoration of housing after a fire.

The law adopted by the Supreme Council and signed by the President will enter into force on January 1, 2020.

The law on amendments to the law "On Enforcement Proceedings" President is among the signed. The bailiffs are empowered by them, on a personal initiative or at the request of persons participating in the enforcement proceedings, to correct the clerical errors or obvious arithmetic errors made in the resolution by issuing the decision to amend the previous one. This decision is approved by the senior enforcement agent.

In addition, the amendments made to the Law “On Enforcement Proceedings” by the Head of the State Service of Bailiffs have the right to cancel or change the decision of the bailiff subordinate to him that does not meet the requirements of the law.

The President signed the law adopted by the Supreme Council, supplementing the law on consumer protection. He established the obligation of trade organizations, stores, retail chains, individual entrepreneurs selling food products, as well as consumer goods, to inform buyers about goods produced in Pridnestrovie. This will be done by special marking, signs, inscriptions “Made in Pridnestrovie”, etc. Moreover, sellers have the right to independently determine how to issue the markings.

The Law on Amendments and Addendum to the Law “On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs in Pridnestrovie” was signed by Vadim Krasnoselsky to improve and further develop the system of electronic interaction with applicants of the State Registration and Notary Office. It provides for the possibility of sending documents required for state registration to the appropriate service in electronic form. In the same form, the applicant will be able to receive an answer about the result of the provision of public services for registration. The adopted law also allowed 50% of the funds that the registering body receives from the provision of registration services in the form of state duties to be allocated for the re-equipment of its material and technical base, the development of an electronic document management system.
