New law for sportsmen training

The PMR Supreme Council deputies adopted reading amendments and additions to the laws "On Education" and "On Physical Culture and Sports in the PMR" in the second final, which relate to the training of sportsmen in a specialized educational institution. The Olympic Reserve School until now has worked according to the general rules, laws and programs for all educational institutions of Pridnestrovie. The programs of enhanced sports training are combined with a school general education program in this specialized school. Changes in laws enable coaches, teachers and young sportsmen to act, learn and train according to their own rules.

The adopted legislations relate to the rules for admitting children to institutions with enhanced study of some subjects, the concepts of "sports training program" and "training process" are introduced. State standards of sports training are established for each sport, which are intended among other things for the preparation of high-class athletes for sports national teams. The standards of physical training, requirements for training conditions are prescribed: specialists, material and technical base and infrastructure of organizations that carry out sports training.

The School of the Olympic Reserve of Pridnestrovie was opened in September 2019 on the basis of the Tiraspol school No. 4. Sportsmen from the 5th grade study and train in this educational institution, they receive a general education. Pupils receive secondary vocational education in the specialty "teacher of physical culture and sports" at the second stage of training. Winners, prize-winners and participants of international competitions and pupils of sports schools, clubs, educational schools of the republic, who show high sports results, enter the school. 12 sports are taught here: swimming, acrobatics, athletics, cycling, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, boxing, rowing, kayaking and canoeing, etc.

The Olympic Reserve School will begin work on the updated legislation in the new academic year. The activities of a new specialized educational institution for Pridnestrovie are now regulated in detail at the legislative level.
