The beginning of interaction between countries in the sphere of human rights protection was laid in 2008. Then an agreement was signed on cooperation between the ombudsmen of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Pridnestrovie. Representative of Nagorno-Karabakh joined it in 2010.
As the Commissioner for Human Rights in Pridnestrovie Vyacheslav Kosinsky noted, the Memorandum concluded in November will give a new impetus to the relations of the fraternal republics.
The Pridnestrovian ombudsman noted that the agreement signed in Tskhinval reflected the main provisions of another document. This is an agreement signed in October this year in Moscow by the Russian and Pridnestrovian human rights commissioners. Vyacheslav Kosinsky noted the fact that our republic is the first unrecognized state with which the Russian Federation signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of human rights protection.
