Pridnestrovian pensioners will begin receiving pensions to a bank account from October 1. The corresponding amendments to the law "On state pension provision of citizens in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" were adopted by the Supreme Council deputies this summer. Exceptions were made for pensioners over 70 years old, disabled people of groups I and II, as well as pensioners living in villages where there are no bank branches or post offices. They will be able to continue receiving pensions with home delivery. They retain the opportunity to open an account in any chosen bank and receive pensions to an account or a card at the same time.
The relevant committee Chairman noted that there are pensioners in Pridnestrovie who have not reached the age of 70, whose health condition does not allow them to come to the bank every month. They do not register as disabled at the same time.
The initiative, prepared by the deputy based on numerous requests from citizens, proposes to expand the list of categories of pensioners who will be able to continue to receive pensions with home delivery. It is proposed to include in the list those pensioners who have difficulty moving due to health reasons, regardless of their age and disability.
The law-in-draft on introducing an amendment to the Law of the PMR "On state pension provision for citizens in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" was supported by the deputies in the first reading. Work on the law-in-draft is ongoing. It is planned when preparing the legislation for the second reading to determine which document will confirm that the pensioner's health significantly limits his ability to move, as well as who will issue such a document and how this document will be delivered to the territorial social insurance centers.
