New laws supplement the legal framework

The head of state endorsed a number of legislative acts adopted by the Supreme Council at the beginning of the autumn session.

The amendments to the law “On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy of the PMR” signed by the President are aimed at government support of Bendery and Rybnitsa river ports. They are exempt from paying income tax for the period from 2019 to 2021, provided that they carry out environmental measures as part of the state order. This will positively affect the financial condition of the ports. The amount of state support will be approximately 600 thousand rubles.

Vadim Krasnoselsky signed another law that adjusts the parameters of the republican budget for the current year. The amendments to the law, 24549600 rubles, were allocated from the Road Fund to the state administration in the capital to carry out repair work on roads and purchase special road equipment. For the same purpose Bendery allocated 3 892 300 rubles. Funds are needed to launch the equipment in the winter in order to apply new technologies for road construction. The same city will purchase 3 new Russian-made trolleybuses. 6 655 330 rubles will be allocated for this from the capital investment fund.

The document provides for Government spending on financing Government order to provide citizens with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services in one of the private clinics that were not previously envisaged.

The new norms of the Criminal Executive Code entered into force. Their essence is to increase from 6 to 12 the number of transmissions that can be sent to prisoners during the year. This applies to those held in various penitentiary institutions (correctional colonies of general and strict regime, educational colonies). Those detained within the walls of the special regime penal colony will be entitled to only three additional parcels per year. However, there is one condition - the new legislative norm will be applied exclusively to persons who do not violate the order established in the penal institution. As a penalty for violating this procedure, the convicted person may be deprived of the right to receive it. The reason for the adoption of new legal norms was the numerous appeals of convicts.
