A new academic year has started in Pridnestrovie. The ceremonial assembly was held at the State Institute of Arts. This is the only university in our republic that prepares specialists in the sphere of artistic and musical creativity, choreography, social and cultural activities. Last year the institute celebrated its 60th anniversary.

The students of the Pridnestrovian State Institute of Arts were congratulated by the Deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva on the first day of the new academic year. She noted that the educational institution can be proud of the fact that it produces so many high-class professionals, craftsmen and wonderful artists.

The educational institution has graduated more than 3500 specialists over the years of formation and development, highly educated pedagogical corps has been formed. A significant part of the students and teachers of the university is included in many creative teams, takes an active part in city, republican and international exhibitions, festivals and competitions, conducts concert activities. The quality of training of specialists is evidenced by the fact that students take the highest prizes at all republican and international competitions.

The Head of the State Service for Culture Maria Kyrmyz wished that the new academic year would open up talented children who had just entered the institute. The head of the relevant department wished the disclosure of her talent for those who have already begun to master the creative profession. The rector of the university Irina Pleshkan noted in her address that the institute generously contributes to the achievements of educational institutions in Pridnestrovie.

The children at the solemn assembly were awarded diplomas for the successes they achieved in the last academic year, and wished them further creative success in our republic and abroad.
