Funding for the direction of treatment of Pridnestrovians abroad will be increased by 2 million 271 thousand rubles. The PMR Supreme Council adopted in two readings in the course of the plenary session the law-in-draft on amendments to the law "On the Republican Budget for 2025", which was introduced by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the mode of legislative necessity. It is noted that the increase in funding for this item of expenditure is due to the increase in the number of patients in need of medical services that are not provided in the territory of Pridnestrovie.
More than 41 million rubles were initially allocated for the treatment of Pridnestrovians abroad in the republican budget for 2025. The state program has been in effect for many years, but every year the number of patients who vitally need specialized medical care outside the republic increases. More than 30 million rubles were allocated for treatment outside the PMR, and more than 800 citizens received medical care in 2022. Almost 38 million rubles were allocated for these purposes in 2024, the Supreme Council increased the limits at the request of the Ministry of Health, and assistance was provided to more than 900 citizens. The list of diseases has also been expanded in recent years – from 3 to 12 categories.
The Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance supported the law-in-draft. As a result, the Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On the Republican Budget for 2025" in two readings at today's plenary session.
