Dear Pridnestrovians!

Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War!

72 years ago the Victory was won in the Great Patriotic War.

May 9, 1945 - is one of the main dates of our history. This day is a sacred holiday and a symbol of heroism.

The heaviest trials fell to the lot of our fathers and grandfathers. It was they who at the cost of their own lives, deprivations and irreplaceable losses upheld the right of peoples to peace and liberated land from fascism, gave us all a lesson in courage and faith in virtue of truth and good, the lesson of unity and love for the Motherland. We will always remember and honor the feat of Soviet soldiers!

Millions of dead and missing people, many crippled human lives. The war brought grief to every family. The courage of the front-line soldiers and the patience of those who worked in the rear, the desire to defend the Motherland defeated the enemy, overcame death and destruction.

Participants of the Great Patriotic War living on the territory of Pridnestrovie to this day inspire an example of its amazing resilience and love of life, the younger generation.

May 9, 2017, as in the past year, will be a public action "The Immortal Regiment". The central streets of cities and villages of Pridnestrovie will be illuminated by images of fighters of the Soviet Army. Children, grandsons and great-grandsons of participants of the Great War, native and close winners will pass in a uniform system. Invisible thread, connecting the history of generations of a single family, will be woven into a single fabric of the history of the people, the country, the Motherland.

We are indebted to the veterans - thank you for your soldier's feat, for the gifted peace.
