Our common debt to the winners

Deputies of the Supreme Council took part in the festivities in their constituencies dedicated to the Great Victory. It passed in the main squares of cities, villages and towns of the republic. People's deputies in common with fellow countrymen paid tribute to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

A minute of silence honored the memory of all fallen soldiers, laid flowers to the graves of soldiers-liberators at the Dubossary memorial complex. People's Deputy of residents of Dubossary Oleg Bayev personally visited the people living in the constituency of the Second World War at home and congratulated them on the Victory Day.

Participants of the meeting in Grigoriopol were addressed by the chairman of the district council Andrei Kovtun and the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Grigory Danchenko.

Numerous column of "The Immortal Regiment" passed through the streets of Bendery. Residents of the city, which were singed not only by the Great Patriotic War, but also by the bloody events of 1992, could not remain indifferent to this disturbing action. In the ranks of its participants are parliamentarians, deputies of the local Council.

May 9, early in the morning, the leadership of Rybnitsa, deputies of the Supreme Council Yakov Galak, Valentin Matveychuk, Vasily Kunitsky, Andrei Safonov, Vadim Kravchuk, representatives of public organizations, townspeople laid flowers to the memorial sign of General Konstantin Tsvetkov. They remembered at the meeting "Hymn to alive, requiem to fallen!"  those who died in the name of Victory. Veterans also organized a traditional "dugout".

Residents of Kamenka, including Deputy of the Supreme Council Valery Babchinetsky, laid flowers at the city cemetery to the graves of soldiers who liberated the Kamenka region and died of wounds in the local hospital after the war. Columns of demonstrators marched along the main street of the city to the Memorial of Glory, located in the city park. The parliamentarian Valery Babchinetsky called for preserving the heritage of the heroes-liberators and from generation to generation to convey the truth about the Great Victory.

They laid flowers to the memorable stele of soldiers-liberators on the boulevard Energetikov in Dnestrovsk the southernmost city of Pridnestrovie. Then, according to the established tradition, the memory of 1,200 warriors resting in the mass graves in the village was honored in Nezavertailovka. The wreath and flowers to the memorial place were laid by Deputy of the Supreme Council Viktor Guzun, deputies of the Tiraspol City Council Lyubov Zolotnikova and Yevgeny Sidorov.

Addressing countrymen, the parliamentarian Victor Guzun noted that the veterans who rose to attack, saw burned cities and burning villages, who have learned the joy of victory, are passing away, but the memory of the immortal feat during the Great Patriotic War is passed on and will be handed from generation to generation.

Deputies of the Supreme Council in different cities joined the ranks of participants in the march of the Immortal Regiment.
