The violators - to punishment

23.10.2018

The Supreme Council modified the tax system of individual entrepreneurs, introduced three tax regimes, including for self-employed citizens in September this year. Those already work in Russia, but not all of them pay taxes. In this regard, the head of the Duma Budget Committee Andrei Makarov launched a legislative initiative to punish self-employed citizens who do not pay taxes with fines in the amount of their income.

Andrei Makarov suggested using this measure in the preparation of a package of draft lawslegislations as part of an experiment on taxing self-employed citizens. This category of taxpayers will pay not 13% of income tax, but 4%. If they serve the interests of legal entities and not individuals, the tax rate will be higher - 6%.

The experiment can be from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2028 in four subjects: Moscow, Moscow Region, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kaluga Region. Citizens who receive income from their activities, but do not have an employer and employees will be able to participate. In addition, their annual income should not exceed 2.4 million rubles per year.
