A group of deputies of the Supreme Council suggested raising the age limit for serving as a judge of the Constitutional Court from 65 to 70 years. As stated in the explanatory note to the documents, “the changes will help improve the efficiency of the administration of justice in the Constitutional Court”.
The deputies within the framework of the plenary session adopted in the final reading the proposed changes to the fundamental law of the state, constitutional laws “On the status of judges in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, “On the Constitutional Court of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” and “On the judicial system in Pridnestrovie”. The documents were sent to the signature of the President.
