The awards ceremony for the winners of the international competition “Together in the 21st Century” took place at the Palace of the Republic. It has been organized for many years by the Sustainable Development of Bulgaria Foundationthe partner is the Future of Pridnestrovie Foundation with the support of the Renewal party; in our republic. The competition provides schoolchildren with the opportunity to discover their talents in music, poetry, literature, painting, science, and children presented multimedia presentations. The theme of the competition “Together in the 21st Century” was the Russian-Turkish War, which resulted in the independence of Bulgaria in 2023.
208 children from Pridnestrovie took part in the creative competition in total, 84 of them became winners. 46 schoolchildren from the villages of Parkany and Blizhny Khutor, as well as from Tiraspol, were invited to the awards ceremony at the Palace of the Republic. Well-deserved awards - certificates and cups - were presented to the winners and prize-winners by Galina Antyufeyeva, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, leader of the Renewal party.
Galina Antyufeyeva emphasized that related to the history and culture of the Bulgarian people there are always many participants in this competition from the village of Parkany – the only Bulgarian village in Pridnestrovie. Its residents cherish the Bulgarian language, culture and traditions. For example, Secondary School No. 3 of Parkany submitted applications in all categories, and almost all creative works received prizes.
Pridnestrovian schoolchildren have been participating in “Together in the 21st Century” competition since 2016. Holding such competitions strengthens friendship between peoples and plays an important role in preserving cultural heritage and helps to reveal the talents of young people. “Together in the 21st Century” competition has become a platform where Bulgarian youth from different countries learn from each other and deepen their knowledge.
A separate gift was given to representatives of the school Number 3 in Parkany. The organizers of the competition presented its library with books in the Bulgarian language that will help the children better study their native language and culture. Folk melodies and songs were performed at the competition, including those performed by schoolchildren themselves. The Liberty Quintet performed its most incendiary melodies for the winners.
