The Young Artist Awards

01.06.2022

There are many small bright balloons instead of one large balloon, and a baby elephant sits in a basket with a friend – this is the work of one of the winners of the exhibition, which takes place in the hall near the plenary session hall in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The exhibition of children's drawings was timed to coincide with Children's Day. Participants are children of deputies and employees of the Parliament Apparatus. The organizers decided not to limit creativity to a certain theme. Therefore, among the works were posters for Children's Day, and winter landscapes, and wild animals.

The winners were chosen in three age categories. In the first category up to seven years (there were also those who were barely a year old among the participants), Vladimir Tanasenko won. It was he who painted the very animals that ride in balloons. Vova is only four years old, and this is his first victory in the competition. The winner was a little shy, did not let go of his mother's hand, but he was pleased with the award. He was given a huge box of multi-colored sketch markers and a small sketchbook just the right size for him.

Milana Koryak became the winner in the category from 8 to 12 years old. Milana wants to go to art school this fall to learn how to draw like a real artist. On her poster for Children's Day, she depicted herself and her friends, only cartoons, she was satisfied with he own work.

The oldest winner in the category under 17 is Ekaterina Alavatskaya, a student of the capital's art school. Her storks in the nest against the backdrop of the sunset sky have become a real favorite of the exhibition. 13-year-old Ekaterina came up with the idea for her work herself.

The awards to young talents were presented today by the Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov. He noted that he himself voted for the work of the smallest winner, so he was especially happy to present the gift.

Children's work in the hall near the plenary session hall will remain until the end of the week. All adults and serious people who make the laws by which Pridnestrovie lives will be able to examine in detail the talented works of young artists this Thursday.
