The reward for hard work

A solemn ceremony was held at the Palace of the Republic to present personal certificates to the state scholarship of the president for students and students of vocational and additional education organizations.

More than a thousand young people have won presidential scholarships since 2001. In January of this year, the president signed a decree that expanded the number of certificate holders. If last year there were 68 of them, then there are 87 of them in this year. Among them is a third-year student of the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Philology of the State University Anna Turchenko. Despite the fact that the girl is still studying, she has already firmly decided that she will work on the radio, and is confidently moving towards her cherished goal.

Those who awarded the scholarships of the President represent different areas - intellectual, sporting, creative. The cadets of the Military Institute, the Law Institute, the students of PSU named after Shevchenko, graduate students, young teachers, students of secondary special educational institutions, as well as departments of the circle orientation.

Addressing the high achievers, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba expressed confidence that today will be a new start in life for the children, a springboard to new achievements.

On the behalf of the presidential scholarship holders, the student of the main university of the republic Tatiana Mandazhi spoke in response. She thanked the teachers for their knowledge and assistance in learning. The girl thanked the leadership of the republic for their attention and support.
