The Supreme Council opened the autumn session today. The parliamentarians congratulated Ilona Tyuryaeva on her birthday and Vadim Levitsky on the anniversary date before starting work on issues from the agenda. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov presented the Order of Honor to the Deputy. The decree on the award was signed by the President the day before.
There were several issues on the agenda, which the parliamentarians started working on in the summer. A number of legislations included in the agenda of today's plenary session dealt with the economic bloc. The deputies discussed and adopted in the first reading the legislative initiative of the Government of the PMR, which determines the interaction of citizens and legal entities with the customs authorities of the republic. We are talking about changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. As Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Ekaterina Fidelskaya noted, the current wording establishes administrative responsibility for the fact that the information declared by the declarant led to an underestimation of the amount of customs payments. A fine is provided as a sanction in this case. It turned out based on the administrative practice of the customs authorities that the amount of customs payments not paid as a result of violations revealed is often much lower than the costs that the State Customs Committee incurs in connection with initiating a case and sending the necessary documents. Therefore, it is proposed to establish a lower barrier with an underestimation of customs payments, as a result of which administrative responsibility will not occur – 72 rubles 50 kop. If such a law-in-draft is adopted, budget revenues may be reduced by 724 rubles, according to the State Customs Committee.
The Committee on Economic Policy and the deputies supported this law-in-draft after discussion. Work on it will continue in the second reading.
The next plenary session will take place on the 14th of September.
