In the course of "The Obnovlenie" parliamentary faction meeting the main time was devoted to the discussion of the final version of the new edition of the Customs Code. Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Alexei Lipovtsev introduced the concept and the main provisions to the people's representatives. Work on the document, authored by deputy head of the faction Alexander Korshunov lasted three years. The result of this painstaking activity, including within the framework of the working group, was the formation of 326 amendments to the voluminous table. Their deputy corps is to be adopted or not to be adopted during today's plenary session.

The greatest number of questions among the "renovators" arose in the introduction of such an institution for moving goods (vehicles) across the border, as a vignette (collection) and customs clearance rates. Some deputies expressed the opinion that the growth of tariffs for customs clearance from 0.18 to 0.3 percent of the amount of transported cargo will increase the costs of economic entities. Representatives of the State Customs Committee note that this increase will be compensated by the liquidation of all other payments that were previously levied by customs officials.

During the last meeting, members of "The Obnovlenie" faction considered the legislative initiative of Oleg Vasilaty's colleague for introducing fees for garbage disposal for those owners of private houses that do not have a contract with a specialized organization. According to the developer, this will allow to more effectively resist the formation of unauthorized landfills of solid household waste.
