The speaker noted that among the numerous complaints of citizens applicants to the Supreme Council whatsoever complaints against law enforcement officers are absent. Mikhail Burla wished management and staff units MIA to implement their plans in life.
The head of the legislature of the Republic was asked about the reasons why the deputies didn’t adopted the law-in-draft "On Citizenship" and "Migration". Both documents were considered at the end of January. One of them - that governs the acquisition and termination of Pridnestrovian citizenship - is not new to the legal framework of the republic. The current today law was adopted in 2002. In 2005 and 2007, in accordance with the requirements of the time it has been amended. According to the President, there is a need to adopt a new edition. It significantly tightens the requirements for potential beneficiaries of PMR citizenship. Parliamentarians, after serious discussion before and during the plenary session, came to the conclusion that, as presented innovations unjustified and voted for rejection of the proposed version of the law-in-draft. It was returned to the author for revision in order to continue working on the initiative in the framework of the current session. Bringing this information to the attention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mikhail Burla focused on the fact that deputies not demonstrated a negative attitude to the idea as such by their decision. They underlined the necessity to change the concept. According to the speaker, taking into account the outflow of the state's population the attitude to issues of obtaining citizenship should be loyal. Mikhail Burla as illustrate the example, when an entrepreneur who wants to open a business in Pridnestrovie, could not obtain citizenship and was forced to abandon the idea. As a result, investment, the necessity of which is discussed have passed by the republic.
With regard to the law "On migration", the presidential project, indeed, was rejected. But many of its provisions will be reflected in the same document, developed by parliamentarian Vasily Moraru and already adopted in the second reading. Parliamentarians do not agree with all the provisions of the President's initiative. Chairman of the Supreme Council emphasized that Pridnestrovian law can not be copied with the Russian, since the state is currently pursuing different goals. Russia needs to restrain the flow of immigrants, Pridnestrovie needs to hold the population within the republic. According to deputies, the residency requirement proposed by the author is unnecessarily high. The development of tourism, and hence the economy of Pridnestrovie will not contribute to innovation.
At the end of the participants meeting of the Board, a number of the staff departments of the Interior were awarded pennants and Directorate of Internal Affairs of Slobodzeya district as the best territorial divisions of departments - the flag of MIA PMR.
