On the agenda of the Supreme Council

10.03.2020

Deputies of the Supreme Council intend to reduce the terms of the bankruptcy procedure and accelerate the repayment of accounts payable. By a decision of the Presidium, one of the next parliamentary plenary sessions will consider amendments and addendum to the Bankruptcy Law proposed by the Government. Bankruptcy proceedings may be delayed for various reasons. Some enterprises have been in it for more than 10 years.

The situation with bankrupt enterprises leads to the fact that there are non-payments to the budget that negatively affect the state of the economy as a whole. In addition, according to Oleg Vasilaty, bankruptcy proceedings should not be a lifesaver for negligent owners who do not fulfill the terms of the contracts. It is necessary to make this procedure work as a preventive measure against unscrupulous payers and employers, the Head of the relevant committee considers.

Deputies at one of the next plenary sessions will discuss the redistribution of funds from the state program “Preservation of immovable cultural heritage of the PMR requiring urgent repair”. This applies to the restoration of the monument in the village of Chobruchi to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, as well as the obelisk "Black Tulip" in Bendery. The law-in-draft was prepared for consideration in plenary at once in two readings.

By a decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, legislations with amendments to the laws “On Licensing Certain Types of Activities”, “On Denationalization and Privatization”, and “On the Procedure for Submitting Financial, Tax, and Statistical Reporting in Electronic Form via Telecommunication Channels” were included in the plenary agenda.

The next plenary meetings of the Supreme Council of the PMR will be held on March 11 and 18.
