The regular plenary sessions of the Supreme Council are scheduled for February 14 and 28. This decision was made by members of the Presidium of the Legislature. Today they discussed a number of legislations to be considered by the deputy corps. Among them there is a package of documents, the author of which is the deputy Viktor Guzun. The author proposes to consolidate the legal status of the satellite city. It is about Dnestrovsk, which in 2010, according to the decree of the president, was classified as a "satellite city" in the city of Tiraspol. The legislator also proposes to adopt a rule giving the right to the local council of people's deputies of Dnestrovsk to approve its budget. As you know, now it has been separated from the budget of the capital for three years. This allows you to effectively use the funds, direct them to the development of urban infrastructure, carry out repair work of social facilities, as well as housing.
The law-in-draft on introducing amendments to the law "On State Support for Large Families" will be presented for the second reading. The author of the initiative, Deputy Oleg Vasilaty, proposes to prescribe a rule according to which a certificate of a single type that confirms the rights and privileges of families with many children should be issued for the period when children reach the age of eighteen. At present, it is necessary to collect the necessary package of documents and to confirm their status to such families every three years.
The initiative of Alexander Shcherba is under consideration in the parliamentary committees. The author proposes to make a number of amendments to the law "On representative bodies of state power and local self-government" with a view to exercising control functions of the Supreme Council. The initiative is proposed to establish the following forms of control: the analysis of acts of local councils of people's deputies on the constitution and the laws of the republic; requesting information on the activities of local councils of people's deputies; monitoring of records management, personnel work, accounting and reporting and other administrative and economic activities. The law-in-draft is submitted for consideration of the deputy corps in the first reading.
The Supreme Council in February will also consider a number of legislations submitted by the government. Among them there are amendments to the laws "On the fundamentals of protecting citizens' health", "On education", "On additional guarantees for the social protection of orphans and children left without parental care" and several others.
