On the agenda of the deputy corps

The deputy corps will hear the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR for 2020 plenary session that will be held on the 28th of April. Vyacheslav Kosinsky will inform the Supreme Council about the state of observance and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in the PMR by state authorities and administration. In addition, the deputies will hear reports on the implementation of state target programs "Equal Opportunities", programs for providing housing for orphans and children left without parental care, as well as programs for the prevention of HIV / AIDS infection. The relevant ministries will report on them for 2020, all these programs continue to operate.

A number of legislations submitted to the next plenary session have a social orientation. The law-in-draft will be considered in the second reading, providing for the payment of benefits for temporary disability to people who are in quarantine due to COVID-19 with children under 8 years old. This applies to those who are currently registered in employment centers as unemployed.

Deputies will consider the law-in-draft "On the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population" at the plenary session. The Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy Sergei Cheban suggested in his legislative initiative that when registering the results of a medical examination, information about the diagnosis could be entered only with the consent of the employee. The medical report will indicate only the suitability or unsuitability of the person for work. Full information contained in medical documents will be provided without the consent of the citizen only in the event of threat of the spread of infectious diseases, mass poisoning, or at the request of the prosecutor's office.

The deputy corps will consider amendments to the PMR Code on administrative offenses in the first reading. A group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation proposed to introduce responsibility for refusing to provide goods or services to a person because of his health or age. The law-in-draft is aimed at protecting the rights of disabled people, pensioners and other socially vulnerable categories of citizens.

The Supreme Council scheduled a plenary session on May 13 after the May holidays.
