Here is the spirit of history

The most devoted friends of Academician Nikolai Zelinsky: colleagues in the museum sphere, representatives of creative organizations, charitable foundations, the Renewal party, and journalists gathered to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the Memorial House-Museum.

The museum was opened on October 31, 1987 in the house where the outstanding Russian and Soviet organic chemist, creator of a scientific school, one of the founders of organic catalysis and petrochemistry, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Hero of Socialist Labor Nikolai Dmitrievich Zelinsky was born and spent his childhood. In the halls of the museum, which Tiraspol residents are rightly proud of, the exposition reproduces the atmosphere of the Zelinsky’s house, as well as the scientist’s childhood before moving to Odessa, the life of Nikolai Zelinsky in the Black Sea pearl, talks about his studies and scientific activities in Germany and St. Petersburg. There are exhibits and materials telling about the Moscow period of the life of an outstanding chemist, as well as about his social and scientific work.

Memorial materials dedicated to the great scientist have also found their place here. So, in 2013, the grandson of the scientist Felix Zelinsky-Plata donated part of the family archive to the museum. The museum’s exhibits were replenished with two graphic paintings, one of which was written by Nikolai Zelinsky’s daughter - Raisa Zelinskaya-Plata, family photographs, the scientist’s correspondence with students, and many other valuable things.

The museum, located in the very center of Tiraspol, was visited by more than half a million people from different countries.

Sincere words of congratulations and parting words in the greeting address of the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva, were addressed to the head of the Memorial House-Museum of Academician Zelinsky Lyudmila Saulyak. On behalf of the parliamentarians, it was presented to the birthday people by the staff of the Supreme Council.

Galina Antyufeyeva expressed confidence in the message addressed to museum workers that in the future new ideas and interesting projects will be implemented in the Memorial House-Museum, thanks to which the museum will find new visitors and new friends.

Words of sincere gratitude sounded in “The Circle of Friends” to the museum staff for their ascetic activities in promoting true spiritual values. Including in the sphere of charity together with the public organization "From Heart to Heart". There was warm, sincere, almost family-home atmosphere and concert numbers.
