The VII World Congress of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad was held in Moscow in mid-October. About 400 leaders and activists of public associations of compatriots from 102 countries took part in the forum. Our republic was represented at the forum by the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council, the Head of the Tiraspol community "Russian House" Galina Antyufeyeva.
The congress discussed the possibilities of regional economic cooperation with the Russian Federation, namely, the issues of interaction between regions of Russia with compatriots who live abroad. First of all, this is a huge potential for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the opportunity to implement joint projects.
A lot is being done so that young people can fully participate in all programs that are held within the framework of forums, conferences, round tables of compatriots in the era of rapidly changing technologies and universal digitalization. Galina Antyufeyeva noted that now the Pridnestrovian youth will have more opportunities, since our young people will receive additional quotas for participation in compatriots' forums, they will be able to exchange experience and implement common programs in our republic.
The resolutions and recommendations of the sections adopted by the Congress participants note that the foreign Russian world is a reliable partner for the historical homeland, preserves the native language, culture and historical heritage. As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who opened the forum noted, that the Russian diaspora makes a significant contribution to supporting the Russian language, popularizing the achievements of Russian culture and Russian education, spreading an objective image of Russia and our traditional values.
