There are two public institutes under the Chairman of the Supreme Council - an advisory meeting of the first Pridnestrovian deputies and the Youth Parliament. This is a kind of connection of generations. Adults tend to scold young people, to saying that the youth is "not the same that it was earlier". Members of the Youth Parliament completely refute it: they are not indifferent people. Evidence of this is the press conference they held today in the Supreme Council.
The press conference gave a start to a new campaign "For a worthy old age", which will be held in all cities and regions of the republic. It was initiated by Olga Ivleva, member of the Committee of the Youth Parliament of the PMR for Social Policy, Family and Child Support.
What is the essence of the action initiated by the young parliamentarians? Currently, in accordance with the norms of the Law "On Long-Livers", a long-liver is a person who has reached 100 years of age. Having overcome the age-old boundary, a person has the right to rely on the provision of free medical assistance, exemption from payment of communal services and other benefits.
However, the average life expectancy is barely more than 60 years. And up to 100 years in general survive a few. In particular, according to 2012, there were 16 of them. There are, however, actual statistics on the capital - there are 5 long-livers in Tiraspol. In this regard, having adopted the legislation of the Russian Federation and a number of other states, deputies of the Youth Parliament propose the introduction of amendments to the law "On Long-Lives". Their essence is a reduction to 90 years of the lower age line for the recognition of a person as a long-liver.
Members of the Youth Parliament by conducting the action "For a worthy old age" want to study public opinion on this legislative proposal. To do this, booklets with a brief description of the purpose of the action will be distributed in all regions of the republic with the support of public organizations. The booklet will be presented to the interviewees, and its tear-off tape will remain with the organizers of the action. At the end of the tear-off tape will be collected and attached to the legislative initiative to amend the law "On the longevity". It will be transferred to the profile committee of the Supreme Council. Thus, it will be possible to say that the initiators of the law-in-draft are supported by the people who took part in the action. It is planned during the action "For a worthy old age" to distribute about three thousand booklets.
