The Youth Parliament summed up its work for 2023

Deputies of the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic held their last plenary meeting this year. The meeting of the Youth Parliament was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva, Deputy Head of the Government Staff Alexey Tsurkan, representatives of ministries, departments and youth public organizations.

The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeyeva addressed the young parliamentarians at the beginning of the meeting.

The Vice-Speaker of Parliament presented certificates of the Chairman of the Supreme Council to Roman Efodiev, Chairman of the Youth Parliament and Andrei Chorba, Chairman of the Youth Parliament Committee on Legislation and Protection of Youth Rights. The most active young parliamentarians were awarded letters of gratitude from the Youth Parliament.

Young parliamentarians traditionally summed up the results of the year at the last plenary meeting of the outgoing year. The report on the work of the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the PMR of the IV convocation in 2023 was announced by the Chairman of the Youth Parliament Roman Efodiev.

The Youth Parliament took part in the development of amendments to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Law “On Personal Income Tax”, which will allow master’s degree graduates to receive a tax deduction in the amount of 70 minimum wages (728 rubles) within 3 years after starting work. State support applies to those who received a diploma for the first time. Bachelor graduates received it previously, according to the law. The new measures will come into force on January 1, 2024.

The law “On local authorities, local self-government and state administration in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was amended with the participation of the Youth Parliament. The new norms structured the system of interaction between the Ministry of Education and state administrations in the field of youth policy.

The law “On procurement in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” was supplemented with a norm that simplified the procedure for purchasing books for urban and rural libraries, based on requests from the Youth Parliament, the law “On the Republican Budget for 2023” clarified the concept of “young family”.

The young parliamentarians outlined plans for the next year, 2024in addition to summing up the results.

The head of the Youth Policy Department of the PMR Ministry of Education Galina Ratushnyak assessed the work of the Youth Parliament.

Deputy Head of the PMR Government Staff Alexey Tsurkan congratulated the young deputies on the successful completion of the work of the Youth Parliament in 2023.

The committees and commissions of the youth parliament already in mid-January will formulate detailed work plans for 2024.
