The last plenary meeting of the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the outgoing year was held on December 22. Young parliamentarians summed up the work for the year: the Youth Parliament held 4 plenary meetings, 6 meetings of the Presidium of the Youth Parliament, dozens of meetings of committees and commissions in 2022. Deputies of the Youth Parliament organized and took part in sports events, international events, scientific conferences and round tables. Much attention was paid to the urgent problems of youth. A number of proposals of young parliamentarians found support among the deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Lat-in-draft that proposes to consolidate the system of interaction between the Ministry of Education and state administrations in the field of youth policy was adopted in November. A legislative initiative is also being prepared for the second reading, which will regulate the procedure for granting a tax deduction for young professionals.
The plenary session was attended by the Head of the Central Election Commission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Elena Gorodetskaya expressed her hope for closer cooperation between the Youth Parliament and the Youth Electoral Commissions under the CEC of the PMR next year.
The plenary session of the Youth Parliament was visited by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov. The speaker assessed the work of young parliamentarians in the outgoing year and outlined the main guidelines for 2023.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council noted that the main task for government bodies today is to make Pridnestrovie an attractive place to live in the eyes of young people. The Youth Parliament, as the voice of the young generation of Pridnestrovians can and should play one of the main roles in this.
