The deputies of the Supreme Council in the course of the plenary session considered additions to the Law of the PMR "On local authorities, local self-government and state administration in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic". The legislative initiative proposes to consolidate the system of interaction between the Ministry of Education and state administrations in the sphere of youth policy.
The first question about the imperfection of the mechanism of interaction between the republican and local authorities in this matter was raised by the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council of the PMR. Young parliamentarians drew attention to the fact that the current legislation does not contain a requirement according to which local specialists should provide assistance to the Ministry of Education in the implementation of youth policy.
The Youth Parliament turned to the deputies of the Supreme Council to eliminate the gaps in the legislation. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov submitted the law-in-draft to the Supreme Council. The deputies unanimously supported it in the first reading in the course of today's plenary session. Work on the law-in-draft will be continued in the second reading. The amendments will clarify the powers of state administrations in the sphere of youth policy at the suggestion of the Government.
