Youth is the driving force

Within the framework of the Pridnestrovian international investment economic forum, a discussion was held on the topic “Global context: youth - the main carrier of the innovative potential of the state’s development”. It was initiated by the Supreme Council and organized with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Investment Agency.

The meeting with the youth of the republic was attended by guests from the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Tajikistan and Cyprus, deputies of the Supreme Council, representatives of the Youth Parliament. It was noted that young people are the driving force behind the country's development. Unfortunately, often this influence negatively affects the worldview of young people. Alexander Solonkin, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Young Parliamentarians of the Russian Federation, gave an example of falsification of history - the events of the Great Patriotic War are distorted.

Young people, as the bearers of the country's historical genetic resources, must resist the oblivion of history, such is the opinion of young parliamentarians. The youth parliament under the Supreme Council has been working for three years. Such an advisory body is an example of the fact that the state is open towards young people and hears their opinion.

The problem of changing worldview is also relevant for residents of Tajikistan. The population of this republic is 9 million people, 3 million of whom live in the Russian Federation, the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia. Most of the migrants are young people. Therefore, in Tajikistan, programs are being implemented to reintegrate their worldview and culture.

Young people should participate in politics, according to forum participants. On the basis of youth proposals, the Supreme Council raised their age level to 35 years. Accordingly, more people can now take advantage of government programs to provide various benefits and guarantees.

Young people still have questions and suggestions. For example, the problem of the rising cost of education, as well as the functioning of the modern training system, was raised. Young people still oppose the exam.

The forum is new acquaintances, exchange of opinions and ideas. Cooperation with other states in the sphere of youth policy will continue, the meeting participants assured.
