22.09.2022

Regular extended meeting dedicated to the modernization of the republic's healthcare system was held in the Administration of the PMR President. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva and Head of the profile Committee on Social Policy and Health Care Sergey Cheban took part in it. The PMR President instructed to develop an optimal mechanism for the health care system in the course of the previous such meeting that took place in mid-September. Work in this direction continues. The collected developments and proposals were discussed at today's meeting. The concept of changes was presented by the Health Minister Kristina Albul.

Pridnestrovie plans to switch to a three-level system of medical care, strengthen the primary link, reduce the bed background and optimally redistribute and strengthen personnel, as well as increase the level of remuneration for doctors. The Ministry of Health believes that it is necessary to intensify the work of paramedic and obstetric centers and rural outpatient clinics, as well as provide the chief physicians with the opportunity to independently form the staffing table and distribute state funding. The Ministry of Health proposes to start preparatory and organizational measures as early as October 1 in order to fully switch to the new mechanism of work from January.

The discussion on the issue of improving the health care system will continue in a working manner.
