Multinational Pridnestrovie

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with representatives of national public organizations of the republic at the House of Official Receptions. The Deputy chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva took part in the dialogue with social activists.

About twenty representatives of public organizations gathered at the discussion table. These are leaders of the Society for Bulgarian Culture, the Union of Ukrainians, the Azerbaijan Khazar Cultural and Educational Community, the Gagauz Union, the Armenian Pridnestrovian Community, the Moldovan Union, and the Jewish Hesed-Cultural Center Hesed”,“ Society of German Culture “Baistand-Assistance”, “Union of Russian Communities of Pridnestrovie” and NP “Diaspora of Roma”. In the course of open and substantive discussion, issues of mutual interest were discussed.

As Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized, Pridnestrovie is a multinational state. Representatives of 72 nations and nationalities live here in friendship and harmony. These are Moldovans, Russians, Ukrainians, Gagauz, Belarusians, Armenians, Jews, Roma, Germans and many others.

The meeting participants spoke about the importance of preserving traditions, culture, the native language, the importance of patriotic education of youth, and the consolidation of society.

Situation in healthcare was discussed. According to the head of government Alexander Martynov, it should change as soon as possible. There is a work plan until 2021. It includes repair or construction of new premises, modernization of medical equipment, advanced training of doctors.

The peace mission on the Dniester was discussed.

According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the peacekeeping mission of Russia began in 1792, when Tiraspol was founded and the Russian fortress on the Dniester was founded.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the topic of the significance and effectiveness of the peacekeeping mission on the banks of the Dniester will become one of the main topics during the meeting with Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu, who will visit our republic tomorrow.

Concluding the meeting, the President emphasized that social activists are an important element of the mechanism of interaction between the country's leadership and its people. Vadim Krasnoselsky called on representatives of public organizations to participate more actively in all processes taking place in the country and to make every effort to consolidate Pridnestrovian society.
