Many plans and ideas

The first meeting of the Youth Parliament was held this year. Young deputies were greeted by the Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov. Turning to his young colleagues, he called the Youth Parliament an effective platform for discussing topical issues in the sphere of youth and social policy.

Young parliamentarians discussed the work plan for 2019. One of the important directions is the strengthening of international contacts. The main focus is on cooperation with Russia. There are already positive results. Since last year, the Pridnestrovian youth parliament has its special representatives in the youth parliament of the Russian Federation. These are Igor Markelov and Leonid Shaidurov. Currently, young people live and study in Russia.

The work plan for the year 2019 is saturated: organizing and participating in various public events, forums and sports competitions. The young deputies will continue to implement the project of non-formal education and parliamentarism schools. The Youth Parliament has proposals for senior colleagues.

Young parliamentarians during the meeting discussed the possibility of amending the Code of Administrative Offenses. The idea is to help dysfunctional families: to replace the fines that apply to parents for improperly treating children with another measure of punishment. In exchange for fines, young deputies proposed the use of community service. The youth parliament will send its work to the Supreme Council. Perhaps, the ideas of young deputies will soon be discussed in parliamentary committees.
