The Peace Battles at the Chessboard

Traditional chess tournament dedicated to the International Children's Day took place in the Square near the Gorky Cinema on the first day of summer and the school holidays. It was organized with the support of members of the Supreme Council Sergei Semenov and Evgeny Gulchak.

There are many successors of this exciting intellectual game in Bendery. There is a city chess federation, headed by parliamentarian Sergei Semenov.

In the holiday a few dozen of young players fought on the chess battlefield in three age groups – below 10, below 12 and below 14 years - more than two hours. The winners were awarded diplomas.

More than a hundred participants and spectators were not disappointed - all received an ice cream as a gift and watching a new cartoon in the modern Gorky Theater.
