Tiraspol branch of the Moscow Institute of Business and Law (MIPP) was opened in November 1992. Since its inception, it has prepared about four thousand specialists - lawyers, economists and managers. All of them studied humanities. Students take a course on cultural studies, sociology, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, pedagogy, foreign languages. As the head of the department, Honored Worker of Culture of PMR, Candidate of Cultural Studies, Associate Professor, Professor Nicholai Dimchenko noted, book and art exhibitions, tours of the memorable and historical places of Pridnestrovie were held annually as part of the department.
The Department during its activity took part in approximately fifty international and national conferences. Teachers were trained over two hundred publications. The department collaborates with the Ministry of the Interior, Tiraspol Dubossary Diocese, with the society of Historians and Archivists, with the union of Russian communities and other national communities of Pridnestrovie, artist association "KamArt", International Association of Culture and Art (MARKIS). Thus, educational and educational work is conducted with students.
According to Nikolai Dimchenko activities of the department will focus in the future on the expansion of relations with other institutions of education, science and culture, as well as to carry out the work of educating the young generation of Pridnestrovians as a specific part of the cultural and educational space of Russia.
