16.03.2023

The results of work for 2022 were summed up at the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The extended meeting was held online. Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took part in it.

The state continued to support the agricultural sector in 2022. Oleg Diligul, Head of the department, spoke about this in the course of the collegium of the Ministry of Agriculture. Financing of costs to support the dairy farming industry continued. The size of the state subsidy remained the same – one ruble per kilogram of milk. Almost 50 organizations applied for receiving last year, 4 peasant farms used such state support for the first time. The number of dairy herds has also increased. As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture, this was largely due to state support, the development of a forage base, technological re-equipment, the import of highly productive heifers and systematic breeding work. It also strengthened the food security of Pridnestrovie.

The state will continue to pay subsidies for milk this year. The Fund for Support of Agriculture, approved by the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, provides for this almost 18 million rubles.

Among other state support measures adopted by the parliament of the republic, which had a positive impact on the agricultural sector of the republic, the Ministry of Agriculture noted the subsidizing of part of the costs for the purchase of imported breeding heifers. The number of livestock is gradually increasing. It increased by almost 5 percent last year. They give better results due to the fact that the breeds are more productive and resistant to various diseases. The work of the agricultural sector was positively affected by the preservation of preferential tariffs for gas supply and electric power services for producers and processors of livestock products, preferential lending to agricultural business entities, and a preferential tariff for irrigation. Tax benefits for land occupied by young orchards and vineyards, as well as perennial plantations that require uprooting. The Minister of Agriculture Oleg Diligul cited as an example a diagram that clearly showed the growth of areas given over to gardens. More plums, cherries, sweet cherries and pears have been grown in the republic.

The work of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources was recognized as satisfactory last year. It was especially noted that the current year 2023 was declared in Pridnestrovie as the year of the agro-industrial complex, rural areas and rural tourism.
