The Ministry of the Interior is 29

Today, the Ministry of the Interior is 29 years old. Solemn events began with the laying of flowers at the monument to employees who died in the line of duty.

The history of the Pridnestrovian militia began on March 5, 1991. This day, the Supreme Council of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic approved the structure of the government, which included the republican Department of Internal Affairs. On September 8, 1992, it was reorganized into the Ministry of the Interior.

Employees and veterans of the department were honored at the solemn meeting. Distinguished were awarded orders, medals and diplomas, next ranks. They also noted the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which won first place at military sports festival. It was dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. The cadets also participated in the celebration, and they were also encouraged.

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky sent congratulations to the department. The President noted in welcoming address that after the transfer of militia units under the jurisdiction of the PMR, the militia men were among the first to defend the Pridnestrovians from the aggression of Moldova, they successfully resisted the increase in crime in the 90s.
