The Ministry of Justice reported on the work for 2022

The PMR Ministry of Justice extended Collegium was held today. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov and Vice Speaker Galina Antyufeeva took part in the work of the Collegium.

Reports were heard in the course of the meeting of the Collegium from the Head of the ministry Alexandra Tumba and her deputies on the areas of work of the department over the past year, and plans for 2023 were outlined. The Minister in her report provided detailed data on the work of the department and spoke about the work of the departments of the Ministry of Justice: the State Registration and Notary Service of the State Supervision Service, the State Service of Bailiffs, the Office of Forensic Examinations, as well as institutions and enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Justice of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic – the Educational and Methodological Center, the Republican Bureau of Technical inventory, "Legal Literature".

The Minister noted that specialists of the Ministry of Justice conducted an examination of 2896 acts last year, including 394 endorsed laws. An important component of the work of the department is the verification of legal acts for anti-corruption. Corruptogenic factors were identified in 43 projects. The employees of the Ministry of Justice are taking measures to improve the current legislation. Alexandra Tumba spoke about the initiatives proposed by the Ministry. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov thanked the leadership of the ministry and all employees of the department for their constructive joint work.

The topics of staffing units of the State Service for the Execution of Punishments, providing medical care to prisoners and the practice of parole were raised in the course of the meeting. The question about the need to reconstruct 5 observation towers in one of the penitentiary institutions was also discussed.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky recognized in general the work of the departments of the Ministry of Justice as satisfactory.
