The Ministry of Internal Affairs: the results for 2016

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Pridnestrovie held a meeting of reporting board , devoted to the results of the operational activity of organs and units of the Ministry in 2016, and the definition of objectives for 2017. According to Chief of Staff Sergey Tomilin, by 0.5% of crimes less than in 2015 were reported during the period in the republic. In particular, a 15.5% decrease was particularly serious and 11,5% - serious crimes. Its registration was recuced by more than 26% in public places.

Despite the increase in the number of personnel in 2016, the staffing problem remains at the patrol, criminal investigation department offices and penal institutions.

Summing up voiced at the board figures , the Interior Minister Ruslan Mova designated to the management and employees of department priorities for the near future. Among them there is strengthening of security on the roads of the republic, to develop a set of preventive measures aimed at employment of persons likely to commit a criminal act. It is also necessary to focus on the disclosure of serious and very serious crimes in the spere of ​​illicit trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances, to work on the reduction of crime in public places.
