Microfinance activities under state control

The legal basis for the activities of microfinance organizations will be created in Pridnestrovie. The law “On Microfinance Activities and Microfinance Organizations” was adopted by the deputy corps in two readings at once.

The law-in-draft adopted by the Supreme Council spelled out the procedure and conditions for the provision of microloans, as well as the conditions for the creation, operation and reorganization of microfinance organizations. The need for legal regulation of the activities of non-credit organizations is explained by the increase in their participation in the general financial market.

In addition, the rights and obligations of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank, which will control the microfinance sector, are legislatively fixed.
