We remember! We are proud of it!

Today cyclists of different ages, from small to large, professionals and just fans of cycling, residents and visitors of the city gathered at the Square of Liberation in Bendery. There is a ribbon of St. George on everybody’s breast. Mass bike ride, timed to May 9 - is another way to say: "We remember! We are proud of it!"

There are Speaker of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, representatives of the local authorities of Bendery Yuri Kara, Roman Ivanchenkov, Minister of Industry Nikolai Gliga, as well as over half a thousand Pridnestrovians among the participants. The event was organized by the state administration of the city of Bendery.

The column of cyclists started with the March sound of the war years and the audience's ovation. The bike ride route runs through the whole city. The first stop was near Victory Park in the Leninsky district. Cyclists lay flowers to the commemorative stele, established in honor of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazi invaders. Then - the Heroes' Square. Bouquets of May lilac and scarlet carnations lie down to the Eternal Flame.

Bike ride in honor of the Victory Day takes place in Bendery for the second year. If dozens of bicyclists participated in it last year, today there are already several hundred participants. The Speaker of the Supreme Council supposes that this event should become a traditional one.

At the end of the bike ride, its participants launched orange-black balloons into the sky as a token of gratitude for the peaceful sky above heads. The festive concert prepared by the State Orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic was a decoration of the holiday.
