Measures to support economic entities and the population of the republic in a state of emergency was discussed in the course of the meeting of the joint working group. Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov, heads of the ministries of economic development and finance Sergey Obolonik and Tatyana Kirova, as well as the Chairman of the PRB Vladislav Tydva spoke about what the executive authorities have already undertaken in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency.
Among the measures of the Government there are the reservation of budgetary funds for solving urgent tasks, the purchase of essential goods, the purchase of medicines, the support of economic entities, the formation of a reserve of foreign currency funds.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, noted that the managerial decisions that have been taken in recent days have shown their effectiveness. The situation is changing, so you need to quickly rebuild and make new balanced decisions.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on the Development of Entrepreneurship and Industry Victor Guzun spoke about measures taken by the leading countries of the world in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. The head of the Committee on Agriculture and Transport, Oleg Leontyev reported on the difficulties that the republic’s transport enterprises faced due to a sharp reduction in the number of transportations, and proposed a mechanism to support transport workers. Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Oleg Vasilaty voiced his proposals to reduce the tax burden for business entities and ordinary citizens. Representative of the Committee on Social Policy and Health Yuri Kravchuk emphasized that population and the business community should be promptly informed of all decisions made by state authorities.
The next meeting of the working group of the Government, the Central Bank and the Supreme Council is scheduled for Monday, March 23.
